Well, Sydney is in a bit of a mess. One way people are staying sane is by connecting to civic ecologies by walking.

In conversation with 107 Projects and The Rizzeria we decided to release a walking map of Green Square. The map signposts civic ecologies so that residents can use it when they walk around their 5kms radius.

The map has now been designed by the extraordinary Ella Cutler and includes her beautiful illustrations. While Ella is an active member of The Rizzeria, she is located in a different LGA to City of Sydney, which means Green Square is off limits, so she handed the files to the very competent Bettina Kaiser who was able to do a large enough print run to get started on community focused distribution. It will be sent out as part of a ‘care package’ by Jen at 107, together with a participatory work by Gadigal artist Nadeena Dixon.

Thank you to all the extraordinary women who made this happen, and let us know (by email or instagram or twitter) if you live in Green Square and would like to receive one in the post.

Residents are invited to share images and thoughts via social media or via an email to 107.
