Remapping Heritage in Haberfield For Inner West Heritage Week

What role do gardens play in shaping our understanding of suburban heritage? Join Ilaria Vanni Accarigi and Alexandra Crosby to discuss their findings and quest to answer this question. Their research draws on oral histories, archival research and planting customs in Haberfield, the first model Garden Suburb in Australia, to demonstrate how plants can channel and extend ideas of heritage.

‘Networks of Solidarity: In the Roots’

In the Roots brings together four researchers, educators and artists based in Ireland and Sydney whose practices are embedded in places of connection, creating sustainable and abundant systems as well as community organisation around ecological concerns. This shared online space will explore the perspectives, knowledge and experience our invited guests bring to their practices and communities. The aim is to open a dialogue between our guests and audience members to explore shared experiences in diverse urban contexts of Dublin 8, Marrickville and Wallumattagal country.
